Radiofrequency-Plasma plate ablation electrodes
The liver has a rich blood supply, with arteries, portal veins, hepatic veins, and bile ducts. The ligation of these vessels forms the basis of hepatectomy.
Existing hepatectomy equipment exhibits the following defects to varying degrees: 1. easy bleeding; 2. complicated operation; 3. long duration. The cause is that the current hepatectomy procedure follows the sequence of first separating the intrahepatic ducts and then ligating the ducts, and cutting the liver parenchyma lastly. Numerous repeated above mentioned rounds lead to repeated bleeding and time consumption.
The RF-plasma plate ablation electrodes designed by our team takes a novel approach: it does not separate the intrahepatic ducts but first ablates along the incision surface until the target area tissue coagulates to form an ischemic plate. Then, the liver parenchyma is incised without bleeding, thereby reducing surgical bleeding and shortening operation time.
