WCH held a "Belt and Road" Negative Pressure Suctioning Technology Training Course for Urinary Stone Clearing

In response to the national "Belt and Road" Initiative and to further deepen exchanges and cooperation in the medical field with Southeast Asian countries, West China Hospital hosted the "Belt and Road" Negative Pressure Suctioning Technology Training Course for Urinary Stone Clearing recently. The training was attended by six participants from Malaysia, four international students from West China Hospital, and twelve domestic participants. Vice President Wang Kunjie attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

In the opening ceremony, Vice President Wang Kunjie extended a warm welcome to the participants. He expressed his hope that through this training course, our hospital could further strengthen in-depth exchanges cooperation with countries along the "Belt and Road" in medical technology and academic research. He also emphasized that our hospital will continue to enhance cooperation to improve the medical service of countries along the "Belt and Road" and contribute to the health and well-being of the people in the future.

The training course included surgical observation, simulation training, and academic lectures, focusing on the technical details of negative pressure suctioning technology and intelligent pressure control systems in urinary stone surgery. Prof. Wang Kunjie performed two intelligent pressure control platform-assisted sunctioning flexible ureteroscopic lithotripsy, and one such surgery was performed by Chief Physician Liao Banghua. Our hospital's urology team showcased their cutting-edge surgical techniques and experience in patient management, which were highly recognized by the participants.

Dr. Noor Azam Bin Nasuha from Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Malaysia highly praised the training, saying, "The diagnosis and treatment technology for urinary stones at West China Hospital is at the forefront internationally. The application of intelligent pressure control and negative pressure stone clearing technology has largely improved stone free rate and is worth promoting. The 'Belt and Road' medical cooperation will accelerate the development of medical services."
