WCH Hosts 3rd ACCP Clinical Pharmacy Skills Enhancement Class
From June 23 to 27, the third "West China Clinical Pharmacy Conference - American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Clinical Pharmacy Skills Enhancement Class," hosted by the Sichuan International Medical Exchange and Promotion Association and organized by WCH (West China Hospital), was held at the main campus. A total of 54 front-line clinical pharmacists and related workers from 10 provinces and municipalities across the country participated in the training and completed the assessment.

The training focused on two core areas: "Chronic Disease Medication Therapy Management and Pharmacoeconomic Research." Expert teams from ACCP conducted full-English teaching and training on topics such as cardiovascular disease management, diabetes management, thrombosis prevention and treatment, optimization of chronic disease medication use, pharmacoeconomic evaluation, comprehensive clinical evaluation of drugs, and pharmacoeconomic decision-making models.

Professor He Jinhan, director of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy of WCH, and Professor Michael S. Maddux, executive director of ACCP, engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on common challenges and solutions in clinical pharmacy practice between China and the United States, as well as innovations and developments in hospital clinical pharmacy service models.

This training class was rich in content, broadened the vision of clinical pharmacists and related workers in their practical work, and improved their practical work capabilities and service skills.
