From October 28 to 31, The 10th Biennial Congress of The Asian-Pacific Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association 2025 (A-PHPBA 2025) was held in Bangkok, Thailand. The biliary surgery team from West China Hospital, Sichuan University, led by Associate Professor Jin Yanwen and his graduate student team, attended the conference and introduced the unique techniques and cutting-edge progress of our hospital in the fields of percutaneous transhepatic cholangioscopy (PTCS) and comprehensive and minimally invasive treatment of biliary tumors.

At the conference, Zhao Mengying and Yang Siqi shared our hospital's innovative practices in the field of PTCS and the precise treatment of gallbladder cancer surgery through multiple oral presentations and video demonstrations.

Clive Delroy Ferguson showcased new strategies for the comprehensive and minimally invasive treatment of advanced gallbladder cancer through a video report and won the "Young Investigator Award" for this research.

This conference provided an important platform for our hospital's biliary surgery department to showcase academic achievements and promote international exchanges. In the future, the biliary surgery department will continue to adhere to the spirit of innovation, collaboration, openness, and pragmatism, focus on clinical practice, pay attention to innovation, continuously promote scientific research breakthroughs in the diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases, and improve clinical service capabilities, contributing to the development of the discipline and the protection of people's health.
