
Recently, the 41st Annual Congress of the European Association of Urology (EAU) was held in London, UK. As one of the most influential academic events in the global field of urology, the congress brought together leading scholars and clinical experts from around the world to discuss and exchange the latest research advances, cutting-edge technologies, and clinical practices in the diagnosis and treatment of urological diseases. Professor Wang Kunjie, Executive Vice Dean of West China School of Medicine, Sichuan University, Professor Wei Qiang, Specialty Director of Urology Department, and Professor Dong Qiang, Head of Urology Department, led the urology team to attend the congress. A total of 17 high-quality research achievements were presented on the international stage, comprehensively demonstrating the scientific research strength and clinical expertise of West China urology.
At the congress, the team’s research covered multiple sub-specialties, including urologic oncology, reconstructive urology, urinary stones, andrology, and adrenal diseases. Through oral presentations and poster sessions, the team engaged in in-depth exchanges with global peers. In the field of urologic oncology, several studies focused on advances in precision diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, renal cancer, and bladder cancer. Participation in this congress highlighted the urology team’s strong academic foundation and innovative research achievements across multiple sub-specialties, further expanding and enhancing the international influence and academic standing of West China urology.
