On June 17, Clarivate Analytics officially released the 2025 Journal Citation Reports (JCR). Five English-language journals from the West China Medical Publishers (WCMP) all achieved concurrent gains in both impact factor and subject ranking. Several titles reached historic highs, highlighting the achievements and growing international influence of the WCH medical journal cluster.

Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy saw its impact factor rise to 81.2, a 54% increase from 52.7 the previous year. The journal maintained a top-tier subject ranking, placing 1st among 328 journals in the Biochemistry & Molecular Biology category and 2nd among 207 journals in Cell Biology.

Psychoradiology achieved a remarkable breakthrough, with its impact factor surging from 2.9 to 7.4, an increase of over 155%. Subject rankings also improved substantially: the journal ranked 1st among 18 journals in Neuroimaging, 20th among 293 journals in Psychiatry (up 79 places from the previous year), and 13th among 217 journals in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine & Medical Imaging (up 50 places).

Journal of Evidence-Based Medicine posted a new impact factor of 4.7, a 34% increase from 3.5. It ranked 47th among 336 journals in the Medicine, General & Internal category, improving six places from last year.

Precision Clinical Medicine achieved an impact factor of 6.4, up 28% from 5.0, and ranked 39th among 191 journals in Medicine, Research & Experimental, also climbing six places.

Acta Epileptologica saw its impact factor double from 1.2 to 2.6. It ranked 157th among 296 journals in Clinical Neurology, up 75 places from the previous year.

Looking ahead, WCMP will continue to leverage the clinical and research strengths of West China School of Medicine and West China Hospital, Sichuan University. The focus will remain on advancing the quality and international standing of its medical journals, building a higher-level platform for global academic exchange, amplifying the international voice of Chinese medical journals, and supporting worldwide innovation in medical science.
